Setting up and configuring the printer

  • Connect the printer to its power source and turn it on
  • Open the Deliverect app and tap on the 'More' icon at the bottom right
  • Choose the 'Settings' option
  • In the sidebar, select 'Receipt printing'
  • Find your printer and tap on 'Add printer'. Tapping on 'Reload' will check for new printers
  • Once your printer has been added, tap on 'Configure'

  • Within the 'Configure' screen, you can choose to print bag or kitchen tickets by enabling them via the toggles. On this screen, you can also adjust the number of tickets to be printed and their font size, as well as disconnecting the printer (if needed)

Tip:  As a minimum, we encourage setting up the printer to generate 2x tickets - one for the kitchen rail and one for the bag. At dispatch, the bag ticket can be checked off to ensure there are no missing items.

  • Once you are ready, tap on 'Print test tickets' or use the 'Preview' option to check the result

Warning:  Before completing the configuration, return to the 'Receipt printing' screen and ensure the 'Automatically print ticket' setting is set to ‘Received’ - this means it will print automatically as the order comes through.

Once the printer is paired with your tablet’s Bluetooth, connected to the Bluetooth settings in Deliverect, and has the 'Automatically print ticket' setting set to 'Received' - your printer is now ready to use.

Connectivity issues: if your printer is not appearing on Deliverect/ if the connection keeps dropping

  • Most printers use Bluetooth connectivity - if you have a Bluetooth printer, ensure that Bluetooth is activated on both the printer and the tablet. Make sure that the tablet and printer are close to each other.
  • If you have a WiFi printer, ensure the printer is connected to the same network as the tablet.
  • If you are still having issues with the printer, reset the printer to its factory default setting. See below, and then follow the steps above to set it up and reconfigure it.

Resetting the printer

While you are turning on the printer power button, hold down the push button on the interface card. Continue to hold it down until a message is printed out stating that initialisation has started. This causes all internal settings to return to their factory defaults.
