Why does Uptime matter?

For partners, an article explaining why it is important to maintain an Uptime of 100% and some tips to help achieve this.

Why is uptime important?

At PWB we ask you to maintain an uptime of 100%.  This means that you should be online and open for orders for all of the hours that you have committed to.

If you have committed to certain trading hours and are not online during those hours you will be penalised by the platforms and you will drop down the delivery platform rankings.  

A low ranking on a platform means less menu views, fewer customers placing an order, and ultimately lower sales for you and your business.  Additionally, whenever you are not online you are giving your competitors a chance to steal your existing customers!

How can I improve my uptime?

Improving uptime is simple - be committed to your opening hours

If you need to change your opening hours, reach out to us via the customer support chat in Partner Portal to get your hours changed.  


Uptime Tips:

  • Check your platform visibility at the start of each service by searching on Deliveroo, Ubereats and Just Eat apps as if you were a customer.  If there is an issue, report it to customer support.
  • Check that your PWB tablet, Deliveroo and Just Eat tablets are logged in, charged and connected to Wi-Fi.  Again if you have an issue with your tech hardware reach out to customer support.
  • Stay on top of stock levels - running out of ingredients or having out of stock items may cause you to close early which will affect your uptime score and also means you lose out on sales for the rest of the shift!
