What is the Supply Chain Sanctions scheme?

For partners in the UK, understanding the supply chain compliance sanctions scheme and how it is tracked, what to do if you receive a warning email and what to do if you have been incorrectly sanctioned.

Introduction

In this article we cover off:

What is supply chain compliance and why is it important?

Our data tells us that there is a clear relationship in food delivery:

‘Great Ingredients’ > ‘Great Quality Food’ > ‘Maximum Revenue’

Maintaining a strong supply chain is key to maximising the profit that you earn as a PWB partner.

As a result we have partnered with pre-approved suppliers to give you access to the full range of great ingredients, at the pre-approved quality specifications, and at prices that allow you to operate a Stack at our target COGS.  These suppliers can be accessed via our online ordering platform, Apicbase.

Please note: In the UK, the only approved suppliers are Brakes for ingredients and unbranded packaging and Brand Your for branded packaging. Orders must be placed through Apicbase to be compliant.

How does PWB assess supply chain compliance?

Partner compliance is tracked based on the value of orders placed from our approved UK ingredient supplier within a 4-week period.  In the UK, our only approved supplier currently is Brakes.

Partner order history data is shared by Brakes on a weekly basis. If the overall value of a partner's orders placed within the last 4 weeks is less than 20% of their previous month's GMV, this will trigger a sanction.

Warning: To qualify towards your site's supply chain compliance, orders must be placed via your Peckwater Brakes account. Orders placed via personal Brakes accounts do not qualify.

Tip: To ensure you are compliant with the supply chain requirements, you will need to place an order with Brakes via Apicbase at least once every 4 weeks.

I received a sanction email - what does this mean?

If our weekly records from Brakes highlight your site as non-compliant, you will receive an email from our team confirming details of this. We will specify the value of the sanction - starting at £50 for the first instance of non-compliance - and further details of how to arrange a call with one of our team to discuss the requirements in more detail.

I received a sanction email, but I have placed qualifying orders with Brakes within the last 4 weeks - what do I do?

On occasion, the data supplied by Brakes may contain errors. If you believe your site has been incorrectly sanctioned and you have evidence of qualifying orders from Brakes within the last 4 weeks (i.e. orders placed through your Peckwater Brakes account to the value of at least 20% of your previous month's GMV), please raise a ticket with the customer support team via Partner Portal and we will review this. You will need to provide the following information when raising a ticket:

  1. Site name and Brakes account ID (if ordering directly from Brakes instead of via Apicbase)
  2. Copies of Brakes invoices from the last 4 weeks (order date and value must be visible)

Our Customer Support team will escalate your query and a member of our team will respond to you to confirm details of a removed sanction/refund (where applicable) within three working days.
